Spring in Illinois

Well, I thought we had missed our opportunity this year to make a snowman. Isaac wasn't too interested in the snow earlier this year. But, he liked it this time around...probably because it's a lot warmer now. Dan and Isaac made a nice big snowman yesterday. We got about 5 inches of snow on Sunday. They even canceled church because of it. The boys took advantage of playing in the snow and throwing snowballs. A lot of it is already melting, as you can see from the picture. That's fine by us...we're ready for real spring weather!!

Oh I Love a Parade!

We took the boys to a St Patrick's Day parade today. It was a beautiful day to be outside. Isaac had fun waving at all the people and dogs. He also had fun watching Dan and I pick up all the candy that was thrown at us! We ended up with a whole bag of candy since there weren't other people standing right next to us. Isaac made sure we didn't miss any!! Levi enjoyed it too until the loud sirens came by...then we knew it was time to leave. :)

We had a birthday party for Isaac last weekend. We weren't really sure of a theme until we were looking at cakes and he saw "Elmo". He was very excited about his Elmo cake (cupcakes!). He had fun seeing all of his cousins again. We appreciated both of my brothers coming up for the day, along with my parents. Isaac and Levi enjoyed meeting Jay for the first time. We got the three newest cousins together for a picture...it will be fun to watch them grow together!
