Rainy Saturday at the Museum

After a beautiful week last week, it was cold and rainy on Saturday. The boys wanted to get out of the house (and so did Dan and I!). We took the boys to the local children's museum. The boys had a lot of fun trying out the different stations. Isaac particularly liked the climbing wall and Levi could have spent the whole day going down the slide. Levi is learning how to say "cheese" for the camera but he hasn't figured out how to do it yet with his eyes open!

Birkie Weekend

We went up to Eau Claire the last weekend of February to visit Dan's parents. While we were there, we celebrated Isaac's 3rd birthday. He was so excited to have cake and ice cream and open all his presents. The boys had a blast seeing everyone and going sledding and snowmobiling. Levi kept bringing me his boots and coat when we were inside. He couldn't get enough of the outdoors.
Dan skiied the Birkebeiner ski race on Saturday that weekend (His brother Tom also skiied half of it). It was 50K and he finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes. The amazing thing was when he got home that night, he had enough energy to play with the boys and let them ride on his back! He did a great job training and completing his goal.
Dan's sister Cindy was there for part of the weekend and so was his brother Tom and niece Rachael. My aunt and uncle who live in Eau Claire were also able to come over and visit and so was Dan's aunt so it was a lot of fun!

More fun in the snow

We took the boys out a few weeks ago to play in the snow again. It was a beautiful day and the boys had a lot of fun!

Dan and Isaac's birthday

My parents came up the week after Dan's birthday to watch the boys overnight so Dan and I could get away for a night. We had won a gift certificate to a local hotel at a silent auction last year. It was nice not having to travel far but still be able to get away. When we got back, we celebrated Dan's and Isaac's birthday since Grandma and Grandpa were still in town!
