Go Packers!

Every year, Dan hosts a Sports Edition youth group on the night of the Superbowl. This year was very exciting for Dan, as the Packers were actually playing in the Superbowl. The kids and I went over to church to hang out and eat. They always enjoy seeing all the students. Isaac really likes Summer, one of his "teachers" for his Sunday morning class. Levi had fun hanging out with Tyler and Evan, one of our leader's sons.

Nephew Jay's 2nd birthday

We went down to my brother John's to celebrate my nephew Jay's 2nd birthday. Dan was unable to join us as he had a youth event. My parents were also unable to come since they are in Texas visiting my grandma. My sister-in-law Carrie's family was there along with her grandparents and my brother Paul. The boys had a lot of fun playing with all the cousins.

When we got there, Jay got a Toy Story balloon and he kept going around saying "Woody, Buzz Light Year to the Rescue!" It was so cute!! Jay is really into Toy Story. He received a lot of Toy Story clothes and toys for his birthday.

The kids each got to make their own pizzas on an English muffin. The adults had pizza from Sarpinos. It was really good. Afterwards, we had a chocolate chip cookie cake, as Jay isn't a big fan of cake, and ice cream.

The kids all played well down in the basement so that made it nice. At one point, Ellie came up and told Amy that Nathan was stuck. When she went down, he had gotten in the toy shopping cart and couldn't get out. Guess he didn't realize that he was too big for the baby seat! Not too long later, Isaac asked if I could come downstairs. I was changing Elise and asked if I could finish. He said "Please come down just for a moment!" When I went down, I found Levi stuck in the shopping cart. Guess it looked like a lot of fun!

The kids did really well in the van and went right to sleep when I got home. I was very thankful for that!

Blizzard

It feels like it has been a long time since we had a really good snow. Yesterday and today, we ended up with around 20 inches of snow. It was nice having a snow day and no where to go. Dan shoveled a couples times yesterday to get ahead of the storm and then was able to use our neighbor's snow blower today. He also helped shovel and blow a couple other neighbors' driveways. It's nice when everyone is around and we can actually help each other out. The boys had fun exploring and playing in the snow. Elise and I hung out inside all day...maybe next time!

Elise loves her feet!

This is one of my favorite stages, when babies find their feet. Elise loves her feet now that she has found them. Whenever we lay her down, she immediately grabs them. It is a built in toy for her!!
