We have had fun introducing Elise to family and friends. My mom has been staying with us for over a week. I had some contractions the week before Elise was born. Due to my history with Levi, the doctor put me in the hospital to monitor me. My mom and dad came up to stay with the boys. My mom came back and stayed with me last week, as my dad was fishing up in Canada. I was so thankful she was able to be with me in case I went in to labor. As it turns out, she was here the morning that Elise arrived! She has been a HUGE help for me, taking care of the boys, cooking, and keeping things in order around the house. While I was in the hospital, she had quite the eventful time. The power went out on the hottest day of the summer. Fortunately, it was only for a couple hours. Then, she couldn't get the garage open and later Isaac ended up getting sick and vomiting. She has been a trooper and a huge blessing to us!!
My good friend Kristin Bos came to the hospital to visit Elise. She delivered her 3rd baby, Trent, the week before Elise was born. It will be fun sharing in the journey of parenthood with her.
Cheryl Young was there to help deliver Levi when he was born. She missed out on the delivery of Elise this time :)
Danielle Young babysits for the boys, and soon will babysit for Elise. It was fun for the boys to see her while they were visiting. They have so much fun with her.
Our niece Naomi is staying with us this summer while she is doing her internship at Six Flags. She actually had the day off while I was in the hospital, so she was able to come and meet Elise.
Our neighbor Nancy stopped by the evening we got home to meet Elise. She was a little disappointed that she didn't get to hold Elise first, as she was the one who got to hold Levi when he was first born while they were putting me in the ambulance!
