Update on the kiddos

This is a picture of Isaac after waking up from his nap. I just loved his "bed-head" and couldn't resist a picture! He still naps most days although sometimes he likes to just sit and read and have some quiet time. He is becoming such a big boy. It is amazing how much he comprehends and remembers now. His vocabulary is exploding and he loves to learn how everything works. The other day, I was talking to Dan about restaurants that offer free kids meals. When I mentioned Johnny Rockets, Isaac piped in and said "That's where Naomi lives". I was amazed that he recognized the name, as he was only there once!
His favorite things are coloring, puzzles (he is up to 100 piece puzzles now), reading books, I-Spy books, play-doh, watching movies (although we don't let him watch them as much as he would like), playing games on Dan's or my iPOD, swinging, singing songs and running. He also learned to ride his bike (with training wheels) this summer which was very exciting. He is enjoying pre-school and learning lots of new things.

Levi has turned into a true toddler. He goes all out in whatever he does, whether it be eating, playing, or showing affection. He looks up to his big brother and will imitate whatever Isaac is doing. He is also a very good big brother, although we have to make sure he doesn't love on Elise too much :) He has really started talking a lot more in the last week. He said "I luv you" for the first time, which makes my heart melt. He is starting to color more and take an interest in books. He loves to build thing...train tracks, legos, blocks. He is also starting to do puzzles. He is more of an on-the-go boy and likes to stay very busy. He loves playing with cars, trucks, balls. His favorite animals are dogs and lions. He enjoys being outside and likes to push his lawn mower and shopping cart around. He is quite a strong little boy too. He pushes Isaac up the driveway on his little train!

Elise is our precious little girl. She is definitely not a laid-back 3rd child but we love her dearly. She is starting to smile now which is a wonderful reward :) She is still eating every 2&1/2-4 hours during the day. She will give me one long stretch in the evening, although a lot of times it is from 7-12pm (which means I don't get all the benefit :)). She wakes up twice a night although she typically goes back to sleep right away. She has a strong rooting reflex and will take a pacifer sometimes. We introduced the bottle to her and she takes it really well. She is actually a lot faster at eating with the bottle than when I nurse her.
She likes looking at lights and fans and enjoys her bathtime. She is content in her bouncy seat but hasn't taken to her swing. She likes attention and being held. She is still a little peanut but is growing!
