Playing a little catch up here after the holidays :)

We had a nice Thanksgiving. My parents came up a few days before Thanksgiving. Mom had been out in South Dakota visiting my Grandma. We have a lot to be thankful for this year. My grandma had been sick this fall and was put on hospice. My mom and her siblings were taking turns caring for her. She gradually was improving, rather than declining. Praise the Lord. Eventually, she was taken off hospice in the middle of December. What great news!!

On Thanksgiving, I fixed a turkey with all the trimmings. We had lots of good helpers in the kitchen :) It was a nice quiet day with just our family and my parents. We played some games and watched football. We also shared all the many blessings we have to be thankful for, using the letters in our name :) I am thankful for Jesus, Eternal Life, Nice Neighbors, Nearby family and my Youthful husband!!

On Friday, Dan had his annual Turkey bowl with the High School students vs college students. The kids and I went over to hang out and have lunch. Then we drove down to my parents' house to spend the weekend with them. It was actually nice enough that we saw some motorcycles on the highway!!

My brothers and their families came over on Saturday and we celebrated Thanksgiving again with a ham dinner. It was fun for all the cousins to hang out. We even got a family picture of everyone!
